From the Steering Committee

Funding appeal

Dear Friends of CLF,

I have been a member of the Empower 21 Global Council since 2011. I was asked by Billy Wilson the Executive Director to represent CLF on the Global Steering Committee. The Empower 21 network was established in 2008 by the Board of Trustees of Oral Roberts University. Having followed a very successful world conference on the Holy Spirt called the Azusa Street Centennial World Conference celebrating 100 years of Holy Spirit Baptism. The conference was held in Los Angeles in 2006 where I was in attendance.

The Empower 21 group was commissioned to focus and explore new generations for a global Spirit-filled movement. This was a natural Kingdom-wide follow up to the 2006 Conference in Los Angeles. The Global Council meets once a year and the upcoming meeting is scheduled for May 18-21 in Dubai. This will be the first E-21 gathering in an Arab country and we are prayful about what the Lord will show us during our time together. The room and meals are provided upon arrival. The expense of the flight is mine alone. The CLF steering committee has authorized me to make an appeal to our general membership to help fund this trip which will be around $2000. Since I do not have a church or formal ministry organization to fall back on, this expense will be more than I alone can handle at this time.

However, since I am representing the CLF at the table, I am prayfully asking our membership to help with my expenses for this trip. Anything you can do will be much appreciated. Please refer to the CLF website: www.charismaticleadersfellowship.org for this contribution appeal. May God richly bless you as we prepare to gather virtually for our annual CLF retreat meeting this February. Thank You and “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.”

Sincerely in Christ,

Scott Kelso
